Payroll Account Executive

Hybrid - Please Note: This is a Utah-based hybrid position which will require some regular in-office days each week. Additionally, employment with BambooHR is contingent on passing both a background and credit check.
What You'll Do
As a Payroll Expansion Specialist at BambooHR, you'll play a key role in helping our existing customers thrive by introducing them to additional software features and the right solutions. With a perfect blend of customer service and sales (no cold calling involved), you'll enhance their experience and ensure they get the most out of our products. Plus, you'll work with a talented team who’s fully invested in your success!
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
- Respond to customer inquiries promptly and proactively reach out at key milestones to foster strong relationships.
- Guide customers through discovering additional features that can enhance their BambooHR experience.
- Conduct product demos to effectively showcase how our software solves their challenges.
Sales & Opportunity Management:
- Identify and sell the right products to customers who can benefit from additional services.
- Manage a dynamic pipeline of 60-80 customer opportunities, ensuring timely follow-ups and progression through the sales funnel.
- Consistently refine your lead-to-close ratios, persistence, and customer satisfaction metrics.
Collaboration & Team Support:
- Coordinate with other customer-facing teams to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
- Engage with colleagues in a supportive, team-oriented environment, sharing insights and best practices to drive success for everyone.
Operational Excellence:
- Maintain consistent communication with customers via phone and email, ensuring clarity and value in each interaction.
- Be fully engaged and available during working hours (Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM) to support customer needs.
What You Need to Get the Job Done:
- Prior experience in sales or customer success, with a passion for helping customers succeed.
- Strong collaboration and negotiation skills, with an ability to communicate effectively and build rapport.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain product value clearly and confidently.
- Comfortable delivering online demos and engaging customers through phone and email.
- A positive, approachable attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional service.
- Must reside in (or be willing to relocate to) Utah.
