Essential Job Duties

As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in the strategic management and optimization of our IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for the comprehensive oversight of our internal systems, including advanced network architecture, cloud services, and security protocols. Your expertise will ensure the reliable operation of critical platforms such as Okta, Google Workspace, Zoom, Microsoft 365, Slack, Jira, and more, facilitating seamless collaboration and communication across the organization. Additionally, you will lead the enhancement of our macOS and Windows desktop environments, ensuring they align with our broader IT infrastructure and security goals.

• Lead and mentor other systems administrators, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
• Drive IT projects and initiatives, focusing on enhancing system security, efficiency, and overall performance.
• Administer and optimize our cloud and on-premises systems, including but not limited to Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and security.
• Lead the management of Zoom, Zoom Phone, and Zoom Rooms, to support effective communication and collaboration.
• Oversee the administration of Jira, Jira Service Desk, and Slack, streamlining workflows and enhancing productivity across teams.
• Implement and manage robust security measures, including SSH key management, endpoint security, and network protection, in collaboration with the Information Security team.
• Develop and maintain scripts in bash, PowerShell, and Python to automate system administration tasks, improve efficiencies, and ensure system reliability..
• Coordinate with the Helpdesk and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve infrastructure and endpoint issues, ensuring a secure, efficient, and user-friendly computing environment.
• Contribute expertise to the planning and execution of AV solutions for live events and remote broadcasts, ensuring high-quality, reliable communication for all participants.

What You Need to Get the Job Done

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of leading initiatives to improve IT processes and security.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing IT projects and initiatives, with a focus on enhancing system security and efficiency.
• 5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, with a proven track record in managing a diverse IT infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in network management and security, with hands-on experience with tools and technologies such as Juniper, Mist, Cisco, or Meraki.
• Deep knowledge of administering key enterprise tools like Okta, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Zoom, Jira, Slack, and similar platforms.
• Proficient in scripting and automation with Bash, PowerShell, and Python.
• Solid understanding of macOS and Windows environments, from setup and deployment to security and troubleshooting.
